The betrayal- Chapter 13

Your dad is a stunner

We set off on our journey, I put Muneiwa's seat-belt on as I closed the door behind me.
I sat on the front seat with my dad, he drove for what felt like four hours before we arrived our first stop.
I took Muneiwa to the bathroom before we could get food, as we walked into the garage, I felt a strange presence, it was as though there was someone following me, but each time I looked back  I saw no one.
We got our food and when we got to the counter, I realized I left my purse in the car, there was already a queue behind me and leaving the queue would mean having to start over again, I explained to the cashier what is happening and she told me the food is already paid for.
"Oh really? wow, I guess dad must have paid for this before we came from the bathroom, but how did he know what we would want and how much it would cost?" I asked the cashier.
"I guess he must know you that well, I wish my father knew me this well, I envy the relationship you have with your father, not to mention how handsome he is, my word your daddy is a hunk" she replied.
"Uhm okay, I don't know about that but  do know he is already taken by my absolutely gorgeous mom so its okay if you stare and admire his looks from far but keep it at just that cos if you go beyond that, we gonna have problems" I said in a very serious tone.
"Hey relax, why are you so uptight, am I the first person to compliment your dad's handsome looks? have you seen that man? hes a stunner, but anyway I was just saying hey, tell him I wished him a safe journey" she winked after saying that.
I took my plastic bags walked away, before I exited, I heard a scream, I looked back and I saw the cashier girl was wet and she had some cream on her hair and face, it came to my attention that Muneiwa was on-top of the counter and she was pulling her hair, I ran back and pulled her off the cashier, "leave my daddy alone, don't even look at him or next time I will pull off your eye lashes" she shouted.
The people in the queue, were laughing, clapping and cheering her on saying she taught her a good lesson.
"Newi what are you doing baby? you cant just go around hitting people and pulling their hair, what you did back there was wrong, don't ever do that okay"
She had a scowl on her face and she shook her head " that lady is a pig, she deserves it for checking out my dad now I gave her pie to eat for the rest of her life"
I looked at her little face and I saw how serious she was, she looked so adorable so I just couldn't help but laugh, we got to dad's car and found him singing along to a gospel song on radio.
"Thanks dad, you are super awesome" Newi said while she gave him a kiss on the cheek and put her tiny hands around his neck.
Daddy was shocked but he gladly put his arms around her tiny body and then asked "okay why am I so awesome again and what did I do to deserve a hug from this little princess?"
"The food daddy, how did you know what we liked? and that bimbo behind the counter thinks you are hot, haha she will not be thinking that of anyone else's father anymore I made sure of that" Newi pouted and folded her arms like a little Missy.
Daddy cracked up and asked who is the bimbo and what did Newi do to her to ensure she doesn't find anyone else's dad hot?
I related the story and daddy laughed so hard, he couldn't believe Newi actually did that, then he said he knows nothing about the food but we did get some yummy treats.
"You girls totally outdid yourselves, you really shop hard hey, but I honestly have no idea who paid for all these, maybe my good looks scored you guys some free food" daddy chuckled.
Newi frowned and rolled her eyes, she refused to eat anything that came from the bimbo and we were forced to stop by another food court to get her food just to make sure she eats.
Before we knew it, we had arrived the village, I was now driving as daddy seemed to be tired, just when I was about to pass the school I went to before moving to the city, I heard a weird noise, daddy and Newi were sleeping and I was suddenly forced to stop the car to see what was happening.
I got off the car and I saw there were three snakes  surrounding the car, one very big one got itself tangled on the car tyres and that explained why the car would not move, it looked very big and vicious, the other two were on either sides of the car.
I felt myself panic as I was starting to regret why I got out of the car, I looked at them and they seemed to be ready for the kill.
A scripture ran through my mind and I remembered how with the help of the Holy spirit one can trample on snakes and scorpions, although it was metaphoric in the context but right now I needed to use it as is.
"you snakes of the devil, I command you to flee from me, get out of my way in the name of Jesus Christ, you shall not harm me and you shall not be a stumbling block of our journey, I set the holy ghost fire on you, I say burn right now" I was literally shouting because I felt that I was filled with the holy spirit and there was a different kind of boldness in me.
The snake on the Tyre loosed its grip and spit some venom on the car, the part that was affected had the paint wear off and the steel part rusted immediately, oh snap what kind of snake is this?
I shouted the name of Jesus, Muneiwa got off the car, she pointed at the snakes and spoke a foreign language that sounded like tongues, she pointed a different direction into the bushes and that is where the snakes headed.
I looked at her shocked and went back into the car, she told me she would explain once we got home.
I remembered that I still had a lot of explaining to my mom about her living with Newi, how do I explain that I took in a child whose grandmother is responsible for killing her sisters grandchildren and that she also practices witchcraft? All of a sudden I was nervous, I looked at Newi using the mirror and I saw she was staring back at me.
"Its okay, don't worry, she is going to like me, I will make a very good daughter to her and I will protect the bloodline, I will use my powers to do good now, nothing will ever harm your family" Newi said.
We got to our house and I ran out of the car to go hug my mom, I missed this woman, its been forever, she broke down and started crying, I just held on to her as I also wept.
Daddy came and broke our hug the he hugged us both and kissed mama on the forehead, Newi got off the car and she just stood there watching us, daddy noticed her standing awkwardly behind us and mama asked, "who is the little Missy over there? come my darling don't be left out".
We all just stood there hugging until daddy said "okay enough now, can I please have my wife to myself now, I haven't been with her in forever" he was busy kissing her all over the face while he said this then he carried her into the house, eeew talk about gross.
We carried our bags out and packed into the house, mom and dad were in their room with their door closed, I didn't even want to begin to think what could be going on in there, I took Newi out for a walk so she could also explain what just happened out there.
Hey guys, I would like to know your thoughts this story please leave a comment.  I honestly do not know what the direction will be with their stay in the village, but I have a feeling a lot of exciting things will happen there.

The betrayal: Chapter 9

The preferred blood: Issues of the past
EARLY NEXT MORNING
When Musuku woke up and opened the windows for some fresh air, she saw that her yard was filed with plucked out chicken feathers that had blood on them.
She went to the bathroom and washed her face, brushed her teeth and combed her hair, when she was done she went to the kitchen and made herself some breakfast and ate.
When she was done she took her bible and went out of the house, she saw there was a pile of 20 slaughtered chickens, their blood sprinkled all around her yard and her house and plucked out furthers surrounded the house, she simply opened the bible, read a scripture that gives her the confidence that nothing can harm her, when she finished, she took a broom and swept the whole yard, got a bucket with water and a cloth, wiped off the blood and carried out the pile of dead chickens, when she got to the dumping site where she went to go throw the chickens, she had a vision and she saw a girl (Muneiwa) who doesn't live very far from her house busy with her grandmother (Nyadzanga) the previous night.
They were trying to use her as a sacrifice for their riches,  evil spirits couldn't even see her because of the anointing in her life. She carried so much light in her, which blinded evil from seeing her.
They ended up slaughtering the 20 chickens and settled for bewitching her and hoping she dies as soon as she steps out of her house after she sees the blood and steps on the feathers.
When the vision was done she knelt down and said a prayer of gratitude, as soon as she finished, the same girl she saw in her vision was passing by looking at her throw out the chickens she and her grandmother slaughtered the previous night.
When Musuku looked at the girl, she looked away and she started screaming saying her grandmother made her do it.
Musuku's POV
I walked over to where she was and I asked why her grandmother wanted to kill me, she explained the same as the vision had already revealed but also said our family blood line is mostly preferred in sacrifices as it normally has spiritual riches from the previous lifetime of our fore fathers.
She told me that her grandmother knew my grandfather and she wanted him for a husband but my grandfather only impregnated her and then denied the baby when her family took her to my grandfather's home, so she swore she would finish our bloodline and the master she submits to only drinks from our family blood.
I asked who then have they drank from and she started telling me about the various miscarriages that had been happening to ( Chiwela) my aunt's children, she has six sons and all have lost their first two kids after they married, its only the third kids that always survived because her grandmother has drank from the first 12.
I then asked why are they only coming for me now that I'm grown up and she said her grandmother (Nyadzanga) had always wanted to get rid of me but she couldn't because of the light that follows me around which denies her a sight of me, as a kid she said she would always try but nothing would happen because I was born with powers beyond hers.
I remembered how I used to see things that made no sense and I could remember the old lady's face and her granddaughter (Ruth) who is an older sister to the one digging holes back in the village and burying babies, now it made sense.
I asked Muneiwa why they do such evil to other people and what they stand to gain from doing that.
She said when her grandmother was heartbroken 6 times, my grandfather being the 6th person to break her heart, she went to the forest to go seek the evil master of all who would help her avenge all the people she hated.
The agreement between her and the master was that there is no turning back and she cannot at anytime change her mind and stop serving him, should she do that the master will kill her own family and drink from their blood.
She said she has lost 6 family members that same year because her grandma is failing to sacrifice me and the master wants to drink of my blood with the belief that it will give him more powers because I am apparently very powerful.
I then told her to go tell her grandma that I am ready for her and she can tell her that I am still alive and I would be home waiting with my blood.
I then told her to hold my hand which she refused to do, I reached out and pulled out her hand, she had a tattoo on it and it was written "born sinner" I told her we are all born sinners until we find the grace of God and that I would like to see her tomorrow because I have things to talk to her about.
She said she couldn't come because the master would know that she came to me.
I told her to tell the master that he can take it up with me.
She then agreed and promised to come back the next day. I then walked home and I called my best friend to ask her if I could then come over to which she responded "hell yea".
It must be darn expensive to appease evil spirits yhoo 20 chickens is a lot and that can feed an amount of over 50 hungry children. its also a hell of a job, from plucking out feathers to sprinkling blood at night? Thank God for salvation and grace we do not need to spend anything to be kept in His love.

The painful gift of revelation

I had been praying for the Holy Spirit to reveal the true nature of those around me—those who smile to my face but secretly betr...
